Mechanical & Metallographic Laboratory

Notch Impact Test is applied to determine the characteristics of the material under dynamic loads. As a result of examination of surface, a part of broken material, a finding about whether the material has a brittle or ductile structure might be obtained.

The breaking energy of the material is determined in the Joule's type. At Cimtas Mechanical and Metallographic Laboratory,  the tests between +20° C and -196 ° C can be performed by INSTRON Motorized Impact Test Device with 450 Joule capacity
