Cimtas Pipe has received another award as result of the on-time delivery of Sabine Pass LNG Terminal Project by Bechtel OG&C Houston.
The Sabine Pass LNG (SPLNG) terminal, located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, U.S.A has commenced its operations of first train in May 2016, adjacent to the existing regasification facilities for up to six trains, with expected nominal production capacity of approximately 27.0 mtpa of LNG.
SPLNG terminal is the first LNG terminal in the nation to export natural gas from the U.S.A.
Cimtas Pipe SPLNG scope covers material supply, spool fabrication, heat treatment, NDE, painting, bundling, containerizing and FCA shop delivery of carbon and stainless steel process piping.
The SPLNG fabrication of the first train with 14,250 tons started with the kick off in 2013 and completed on time with a superb project management performance by Cimtas Pipe Team in 2014. The "Excellence in Quality and Performance" award was presented by Bechtel OG&C Principal VP and Project Manager for the SPLNG project to CP Team at Cimtas Gemlik Works, Türkiye.
