We Are Proud to Exceed ''10 Million Safe Hours''
At Çimtaş, the occupational safety of our employees is the assurance of the sustainability of our business. The most important reason for the operational excellence of Cimtas Pipe, a member of the Çimtaş Group, is the priority given to the “Zero Accident” Target, which means working without a lost-time accident.
As a result of this commitment, Cimtas Pipe achieved 10 million safe working hours (4,5 years) without a lost-time accident. At the end of June 2019, this success was celebrated with the attendance of 900 employees of Cimtas Pipe including Spool, LSAW and Fitting Facilities.
During the ceremony, in their speeches Cem Geyik, Cimtas Pipe Group CEO, and Müge Erişen, HSE Group Manager, highlighted that “Zero Accident” performance is the indicator of a matured HSE culture and doing business successfully as an aligned team.
Cem Geyik thanked all Cimtas employees for their contribution and emphasized the importance of improving the HSE culture. He also stated spreading this approach to our entire social environment, starting with our families is very important. So that, we can replace the fatalistic approach with scientific approach as defining the risks and taking precautions in advance.
